I am a 40-year-old wife and mom of two and Charleston, South Carolina native who has had a passion for health, nutrition, and fitness for as long as I can remember. After many years of working in a fast-paced corporate environment and rarely effectively managing my stress, my own health began to deteriorate.  I wasn't sleeping well, my libido had tanked, my hair was falling out, I experienced bloating after every meal, and acne breakouts were a regular occurrence. On the outside, I "looked" pretty healthy. I was an ideal weight, and I appeared to have great energy...but really I was likely just surviving on cortisol, pushing through even when my body was signaling for me to take a break. 

It wasn't until I began doing my own research and became my own health advocate that I sought out Functional lab testing to see what was going on inside me. That's when I discovered how out of balance my body had gotten. My hormones were low, inflammation was high, I had several food sensitivities exacerbating the inflammation,  I wasn't digesting protein properly, I had mold toxicity, and my gut microbiome was out of balance with an overgrowth of bad bacteria, candida, and even a parasite! You would never have guessed these things by simply looking at me, and many of the common symptoms I didn't even recognize because I had gotten so use to feeling the way I felt.

Not only did a Functional approach to health and healing bring my body back into balance, but it lead me to the realization that I wanted to teach others how to become their own health advocate and truly heal naturally from the inside out!

I am now proudly a Certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner® (FDNP or Health Practitioner for short), and nothing brings me more joy and fulfillment than supporting and empowering others to take their health into their own hands to achieve their personal health goals!
